A massive search is underway for Terri Lynn Kathey, a beloved singer and songwriter from Nashville, who was last seen early Sunday morning (June 16).
In social media posts shared Monday afternoon, friends and family of Terri Lynn Kathey, also known as Terri Lynn Blues, were asking for the public’s help finding Kathey.
According to the posts, Terri Lynn and her husband, Kevin, own a courier service in Nashville. Kathey left her home early Sunday morning to make a delivery to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and made a purchase at Hardee’s around 6:30 a.m.That would be the last time Terri Lynn was seen.
“Urgent Prayer Request!!! Our friend and fellow singer-songwriter, Terri Lynn Blues Kathey is MISSING! She and her husband, Kevin Kathey, own a Courier Service and she left home around 4:30 A.M. Sunday morning,” the post reads. “She made a purchase at Hardee’s on Elm Hill Pike in Nashville, TN at 6:30 A.M. No one has seen nor heard from from her since. If you have seen her please call the [Nashville] police or message me and I will communicate it to her husband Kevin.”
An update was shared Tuesday morning stating that police were able to ping Kathey’s cell phone near the top of Monteagle Mountain, located about 45 minutes northwest of Chattanooga.
Monteagle Mountain is considered one of the most dangerous highways in America. While not technically a mountain, the name was given to the stretch of interstate that runs over the Cumberland Plateau near the town of Monteagle, Tennessee. The highway rises to roughly 2,000 feet and has one of the steepest grade on the interstate system.
Terri Lynn Kathey is a beloved singer, songwriter, and demo singer from Nashville who connects gospel musicians in the area with Inspirational songwriters’ events.
Terri Lynn is married to Kevin Kathey, who is also a musician. Most notably, Kevin is a drummer who has performed with Rory Feek, Charlie Louvin, and more.
