The Seattle Seahawks Are The Super Bowl Champions
On Sunday (February 8), the Seattle Seahawks soared past the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl LX.
The Seahawks took the lead in the first quarter after scoring a 33-yard field goal. The Seahawks scored two additional field goals in the second quarter, while the Patriots failed to score a single point before halftime.
After play resumed, the Seahawks scored another field goal in the third quarter. The score stood at 12-0 as the fourth quarter began.
The Seahawks scored the first touchdown of the game in the fourth quarter. The Patriots finally placed some points on the board after scoring a touchdown of their own soon after.
Then, the Seahawks responded with another field goal, followed by an additional touchdown. The Patriots scored their second touchdown moments later, but missed the two-point conversion.
The final score was 29-13. This was the Seahawks’ second Super Bowl victory, following their win over the Denver Broncos at Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013.
Seahawks Players & Head Coach Mike Macdonald Speak About Their Faith & Thank God
After their win, several Seahawks players and head coach Mike Macdonald put their faith on full display, giving glory to God.
“First and foremost, I wanna thank God for this,” said running back and Super Bowl LX MVP Kenneth Walker in a post-game interview. “You know, [it’s a] blessing to be here.”
Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, known for his strong faith, credited God for his and his team’s success during a post-game press conference. He encouraged others to find strength in their faith, saying:
“You gotta have faith. You gotta believe in God. You gotta give it to Him… have faith. Your faith has to be there.”

Head coach Mike Macdonald, who’s coached the Seahawks for two seasons, also gave glory to God for his team’s Super Bowl victory. When asked what the win meant to him, Macdonald said:
“I believe God called me to be a coach and I listened to Him and I thank Him,” Macdonald said. “We are incredibly blessed to be Seahawks, to be twelves. And now, we’re world champions.”
