Scotty McCreery Welcomes The Holiday Season With Dazzling New Version Of “White Christmas”
Scotty McCreery is definitely dreaming of a “White Christmas” this year.
The week before Halloween, McCreery released a whimsical new rendition of the timeless holiday tune, “White Christmas.” The song has been a holiday staple for decades, with notable renditions by artists such as Bing Crosby, Michael Bublé, Ernest Tubb, Martina McBride, Blake Shelton, and Garth Brooks.
Crosby’s recording is the most recognizable. In fact, it’s the #1 best-selling single of all time, worldwide, with an estimated 50 million copies sold.

McCreery’s version of “White Christmas” is just as dazzling as you’d expect. His recording has an upbeat, bouncy feeling that captures the joy and excitement associated with the holiday season.
McCreery also released a lyric video to accompany his version of “White Christmas.” Lyrics from the beloved song dance across the screen as footage shows McCreery singing in the studio. His music stand and microphone were decorated with some festive snowflake lights and a Santa hat.
For some fun contrast, McCreery can be seen wearing a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, indicating that he probably wasn’t experiencing “White Christmas” weather when he filmed these clips!

Scotty Released A Christmas Album In 2012
This isn’t our first time hearing Scotty McCreery sing holiday songs. He released an entire Christmas album in 2012, the year after he won American Idol. The album was fittingly titled Christmas with Scotty McCreery.
McCreery covered an assortment of Christmas classics for the album, including “Jingle Bells,” “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” and “Mary, Did You Know?”
The album also included two originals, “Christmas in Heaven” and “Christmas Comin’ Round Again.”
McCreery has also performed on the annual CMA Country Christmas special multiple times. He sang “The First Noel” on the show in 2011 and performed “Winter Wonderland” on the program in 2012.
