Mile High Bridge is a swinging bridge on Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina. The bridge is a beautiful attraction located in one of the world’s most diverse preservations, and several influential people have visited the land’s swinging bridge. Most notably, the legendary Johnny Cash took a stroll across the bridge with Grandfather Mountain’s late founder, Hugh Morton.
While Scotty might have been hoping to recreate Cash’s majestic photograph, the North Carolina weather had other plans.

In the video, Scotty and his wife face high winds with an 8° chill. Scotty’s wife appears to have trouble walking against the wind as several brave members of Scotty’s hiking squad managed to stand on the bridge.
“Took a leisurely stroll across a swinging bridge today,” Scotty wittily captioned the video on TikTok.
While Mile High Bridge looks like a beautiful place to visit, you might want to check the weather first!
