Sadie Robertson Is Soaking In Her Last Days With Just Two Babies
“Duck Dynasty” star Sadie Robertson Huff is enjoying her final days with just two children before her third baby comes.
Sadie posted a photo of her little family, saying she was “so incredibly grateful for it to grow!”
While she has not revealed the gender of her next baby, she gushed about her two girls Honey (4) and Haven (2), being the best big sisters.
Sadie has posted multiple photos documenting her journey this pregnancy, initially posting the announcement on Valentine’s Day this year.
The reality television star and her husband, Christian, told fans on social media that the baby is due mid-August.
Sadie’s Third Pregnancy Has Come With A Few Scares
Earlier this year, Sadie revealed she was briefly hospitalized. She was 22 weeks along in her pregnancy at the time, making it a little more scary than a routine sick visit.
On April 14, Sadie posted a video showing her baby bump with a long caption explaining what happened to her.
She traveled to Florida on April 10 to speak at an event on April 12th in Destin, Florida. The next day, she fell ill from what she thought at the time was food poisoning.
“It was rough,” she wrote in the caption.
She added, “I ended up in the hospital having consistent contractions every 3 minutes for a couple of hours.”
At just 21-22 weeks, we can only imagine how frightening this was for the expecting mom.
“Thankfully I got the best care in a hospital and they were able to confirm I was not in pre-term labor just the aftermath of the food poisoning,” she said.
Sadie couldn’t speak at the event due to her hospitalization, but she could do a Q&A instead.
Sadie’s Two Little Girls, Honey & Haven
Sadie and Christian welcomed Honey James on May 11, 2021, whose name was inspired by Proverbs 16:24.
“I’ve always loved this verse. Its made me have a love for the idea of all that honey is. It’s a sweet delicacy with a strong healing component,” Sadie shared. When Christian and I started dating we went through the book of Proverbs together and I remember getting to chapter 16 and as I read verse 24 i said to him, ‘you have words like honey. they are so sweet and are healing places in my heart I didn’t even know needed to be healed.’”
Haven Belle came almost exactly two years later, and was born on May 22, 2023.
Since Sadie had a C-section for her second birth, she shared her recovery the second postpartum phase had been different than after she gave birth to Honey.
“not being able to pick up Honey has by far been the hardest thing of this postpartum season, but thank God for words and the power and love they can carry!” Sadie said in the caption of a video that shows her saying all the things she loves about her eldest daughter.
“every time i start to tell Honey what i love about her she crosses her arms and gets ready to receive,” Sadie said. “it’s so sweet that she starts to say the next thing before i get to it because she knows that’s who she is! she’s heard me speak it before over her and she’s confident to claim it.“
The couple has continued to show their devotion to their little family, as Sadie often travels with her girls on speaking engagements and work trips.
