Singer-songwriter Rory Feek just gave an update on his feud with his adult daughters, Heidi and Hopie.

In a new blog post titled “canceled,” Rory wrote about the backlash he has received since his daughters pursued legal action against him.

Rory revealed that many of the events and writing jobs he had lined up had all fallen through because of the situation.

“One-by-one many of the events, and the writing jobs I had that were on my schedule have been canceled, along with of course… me,” he wrote.

He wrote about what he, his daughter Indiana (“Indy”), and his new wife Rebecca have been doing since the last update, from pickling okra to playing pickleball to homeschooling.

Then, the “Some Beach” singer revealed an update on his feud with Heidi and Hopie.

He writes, “The only thing I’m guilty of is being part of a family that isn’t perfect – much like yours I would imagine. And our family struggles aren’t something that just happened this summer. We’ve always been a work-in-progress, and I feel fairly certain we always will be. There are things that my older daughters and I need to work out together. Right now we’re at an impasse on how that’s ever going to happen.”

Rory explained that he drove down to their home in Alabama “about a week and a half ago” with peace lilies in hand.

He had “hoped that we might be able to sit down and talk, or better yet, I’d just sit and listen to whatever they wanted to say and maybe have the chance to give them a hug and at least try to show them how much I love them.”

Rory revealed that his daughters’ cars were in the driveway, so he knew they were inside the house, but they chose not to answer. As he began driving back home, Heidi. texted him saying, “We are only willing to talk with you with a licensed therapist or attorney or both.”

“And that is where the impasse comes in. They believe that it’s the job of a someone with a doctorate, law, or masters degree to repair what is broken in our family. And I believe that it’s our job,” Rory writes.

Rory reiterated that Indy is not neglected and he would never put her in an unsafe situation.

In response to Rory’s blog post, Heidi released a statement on her Instagram Story.

The statement read:

“Whether it’s unexpected visitors coming on our property, members of your “organization” threatening us, or online harrassment from your followers – know this: we will not be intimidated. We will continue to fight for Indiana and her safety.”

The statement is written from Heidi, her husband Dillon, and Hopie.

People also reached out to Heidi for a comment, and she said that she actually was not home when her father stopped by, but Dillon and Hopie were. She revealed that when Dillon and Hopie realized it was Rory at their house, Hopie “began having a panic attack.”

Dillon called Heidi and then their lawyer before opening the door. From the time Rory knocked on the door to the time Dillon opened it, they estimate only four minutes had gone by.

Heidi said, “Regardless of the intention, it came off as intimidating. We’ve set really clear boundaries. We have such a hard time communicating with him and feeling heard that we really don’t feel like it’s possible without a third party. Visiting] was never for us, because if he was trying to reach us, he would do it in the way that we’ve requested of him, or at least text us and say, ‘Hey, I’m coming.’”

This update comes after a back-and-forth between Rory and his daughters, which stemmed from his wedding to Rebecca.

Heidi and Hopie were not invited to the wedding, and they eventually learned that Indy was left in the care of some folks at the ranch where the wedding was held. Rory maintains she was in the care of very close friends, but his daughters reveal that those same people might be linked to child endangerment crimes.

Rory responded to their legal filing in a blog post, hoping to clear the air, but his daughters responded, saying the begged to work out their issues privately and they felt they had no choice but to call him out on social media.
