Robert Irwin Saw The Star As He Arrived In Los Angeles For ‘Dancing With The Stars’
The premiere of Dancing with the Stars Season 34 is still a few weeks away, but one of its confirmed stars is already in Los Angeles.
Taking a moment to think on a different kind of star, the Australian wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin posted a video of himself to social media as he passed a star of great significance to his own life on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“We just touched down into LA for Dancing with the Stars, and look who I found,” Robert said with a smile.
Removing his sunglasses, he then pointed down to a star emblazoned with the name of his father: the late Steve Irwin.
It’s been almost 19 years since Steve died at the age of 44, just a few months before Robert’s second birthday.
“How cool is that?” Robert said with a laugh.
Robert’s sister, Bindi, commented on the video, saying, “I know Dad is SO proud of you.”

Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars will premiere on ABC on September 16.
Steve Irwin’s Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
In 2018, Steve Irwin — who is remembered for his daring and charismatic presence on The Crocodile Hunter as well as his passion for animals at the Australian Zoo — was posthumously recognized with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony was attended by his wife and television co-host, Terri; as well as their children, Bindi and Robert; and Steve’s best friend, Wes Mannion.
“If we all take a page out of Steve’s book and love everything, we’re going to be better people — we’re going to have more empathy and kindness for all living beings,” Terri told the crowd. “But how on earth do you get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame being like that? How cool is that?”
