Robert Irwin Was The First Celebrity Cast On Dancing With The Stars
Back in April at Disney Entertainment Television’s Get Real event, Dancing With The Stars announced the first celebrity to compete on the show’s upcoming 34th season: Robert Irwin!
Hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough teased the announcement by saying, “Are you guys ready to get wild? Because this is an irresistible animal lover…who also happened to do something in boxers recently.”
Hough’s boxers comment refers to Irwin’s campaign with Bonds underwear, which went extremely viral!

The Full Cast & Their Pro Partners Were Announced On Sep. 3
As they do every season, Good Morning America hosted an epic Dancing With The Stars party on September 3rd to announce the full cast for Season 34.
With a new pro this season who was on tour with Taylor Swift, plus the already confirmed celebrities, this season might just be the most-anticipated in a long while! See the full cast and their pro partners in the list below.

The celebrities are already having fun at rehearsals.

But our favorite video, so far, that a celeb and pro have done is a video that Irwin and his partner, Witney Carson posted on September 11, just five days before the premiere!
Robert and Witney Find “Wildlife” At “DWTS”
The video began with Irwin and Carson hiding behind a planter, welcoming fans to their show.
“G’day!” they said, “Today, we’re going into the wild of the Dancing With The Stars studio! Let’s go!”
Crouching down as though they are sneaking up on a real-life animal, Irwin says, “There’s wildlife everywhere around here. Come on, but be quiet, we don’t want to spook them,” before leading the audience into a room.
Irwin said a fun fact about these particular creatures: “This particular species has been known to display, to actually start dancing when they hear this particular whistle”
Irwin starts whistling like a bird and Whitney Leavitt and Mark Ballas stop what they’re doing to look around and immediately start spinning around.
“So beautiful, so graceful, wow!” Carson says to the camera.
“Absolutely stunning creatures!” Irwin adds before they run out of the room before spooking by the “wildlife.”
Next, Irwin and Carson take the audience to the “water hole,” where the wildlife gets their sustenance (craft services), where Carson picks up two apples.
Irwin suggests they check out the wildlife of Room #5. They walk into the studio where Danielle Fischel and Pasha Pashkov were rehearsing, and Irwin says to the camera, “They’re actually dancing. This is what they do out in the wild!”
Carson and Irwin hand the apples to Fishel and Pashkov, saying, “Now they do love apples. [They’re] so gentle. Just beautiful!”
Unfortunately, Fishel took a bite out of a rotten apple and spit it out. That’s the moment when Irwin and Carson knew it was time to run!
“Aw Crikey! That was wild,” Carson said after her first wildlife experience.
The video was absolutely hysterical and really showed off how much Irwin is like his father, the late Steve Irwin. His legacy is living on in more ways than one!
