Is Terri Irwin Dating Russell Crowe? Her Son Robert Irwin Addresses The Rumors
Robert Irwin is addressing the ongoing rumors that his mom, Terri Irwin, is secretly dating actor Russell Crowe.
For years now, there’s been rumors that Terri is involved in a romantic relationship was the Oscar-winning movie star. These rumors don’t come entirely out of nowhere…since Russell has been a longtime friend of the Irwin family.
He even sent Terri’s daughter, Bindi, a fig sapling as a wedding present before she married Chandler Powell in March 2020.

Russell was born in New Zealand, but has spent the majority of his life in Australia, where the Irwins live.
The actor was married to Australian actress, singer, and songwriter Danielle Spencer from 2003-2018, but they separated in 2012. They share two sons.
Robert Irwin Says His Mom “Has Been Linked To Something Like 30 People” Since His Dad Died
Terri was married to the late TV personality and conservationist Steve Irwin from 1992 until his death in 2006. They had two children together, Bindi and Robert.
Rumors started swirling about a romantic relationship between Terri Irwin and Russell Crowe years ago.
But, as Robert Irwin explained in a recent interview, his mom has been linked to dozens of people since his dad died.
When KIIS FM’s Kyle Sandilands asked Robert if there’s any truth to the rumors that his mom is dating Russell, he said:
“Mum has been linked to something like 30 people since Dad passed away. It’s ridiculous. Every single day it’s, I mean, it was King Charles. It was Russell. It was everyone. It’s all absolute nonsense.”
Terri previously addressed the rumors herself in an interview with The Courier Mail in 2021. She said:
“I have kept track [of everyone’s she’s rumored to have dated] because it’s kind of funny … let’s see, apparently it’s all the Hogans – that’s Paul and Hulk; Russell Crowe, and most recently, it’s Richard Wilkins. [I] think the most flattering would be Russell because he is such a good person, and a very good friend to our family, and I actually do really love him because he loved Steve and they were such good friends.”
Terri also said that Russell was “the very first person” who called her after Steve passed away.
Will Terri Irwin Ever Remarry After Steve Irwin’s Death?
Terri has been asked if she’ll ever consider dating or marrying again. And her answer has always been “no.”
She told The Courier Mail in 2021:
“You know, and I keep saying this, and I think maybe 15 years later people are finally starting to believe me, Steve was it for me. That’s just the way it is. I had a big, big love and it was enough to last a lifetime.”
Terri told the publication she was “comfortable” being single and was “too busy” to consider dating anyone.
59-year-old Terri lives and works at Australia Zoo with her kids and her nearly three-year-old granddaughter, Grace. Together, they’re ensuring that Steve’s passion for wildlife lives on through their work.
