Riley Green made his parents’ Christmas a little extra special this year.
Most fans of Riley Green know that he loves the holidays. He even has a tradition of throwing an annual Christmas costume party where all of his family and friends come together.
The competition is pretty serious, too, because whoever wins the best costume walks away with a huge prize. This year, the champion was gifted a brand-new RV camper.
By the end of the night, the winners turned out to be Riley’s parents. His mom and dad stole the show dressed as Ralphie’s parents from A Christmas Story.
Later on, the singer’s mom, Karen, took to her Instagram to show off the camper he gifted them.
“We won the GRAND PRIZE at the 2nd annual RG Christmas costume party,” she wrote in the post’s caption. “Thank you, Riley, for the generous and thoughtful surprise! This is definitely one way to get us off your bus. We are ready to hit the road!”
Friends and family were beyond excited for Riley’s parents as they started their new adventure as RV owners. Many people close to them left congratulatory comments on the post. A few of those included:
“What a wonderful gift to keep the family on tour together! Have a Blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!”
“I’m so excited for your adventures… Have a wonderful time on them”
“What a super thoughtful gift! Perfect!”
Riley also couldn’t resist leaving a comment on his mom’s post. He wrote “Don’t shoot your eye out” in reference to the classic Christmas movie’s famous line.
Riley Green To Make His Acting Debut
Now that Christmas is over, many people are already looking forward to the new year. And for Riley Green fans, there’s something especially exciting coming up.
Earlier this month, he sat down with Country Now and revealed that he’ll be making his television acting debut sometime soon.
Understandably, Riley wasn’t able to say very much about the upcoming project, but he did give a somewhat of a hint when they can expect it:
“I’ll just guess I’m allowed to say that I have done some acting, and it’s a show, and it’s going to be airing sometime fairly soon.”
