Langley released it as a promotional single for her debut country album, Hungover, and it was released to country radio on August 5th.
The song peaked at number seven on the Country Airplay chart and number eight on the Hot Country Songs chart. Despite not hitting number one, the song is currently certified Platinum, selling over one million units.
The music video, which was released on August 28, has over 12 million views on YouTube. It had a Wild West theme to it and featured surprise appearances by Jamey Johnson and Green’s dog, Carl.
Due to the success of “you look like you love me,” and their follow up duet “Don’t Mind If I Do,” Green and Langley have fielded many questions about the closeness of their relationship and if there is a chance it could be romantic.
Both have maintained that they are “not dating” and are just very “good friends.”
Their red-hot chemistry is a sure fire way to sell tickets to their upcoming Damn Country Music Tour, which will kick off on March 27, 2025.
Riley and Ella brought their chemistry to the stage at the 2024 CMA Awards.
Langley started the song sitting in the audience right after Stapleton took home Song Of The Year. She walked through the crowd and onto the stage, which was set with a bar top and stools.
When it was time for Green to perform his verse, he also stood up from his seat in the audience. A nice woman placed his cowboy hat
Earlier today, Green and Langley won the Musical Event of the Year Award, and based on the audience reaction to their performance, it was well-deserved!
