Apparently, Reba McEntire has a strange food habit that Rex Linn just can’t support.
Reba and Rex’s Relationship Timeline
Reba McEntire and her boyfriend, Rex Linn, have shared nearly five wonderful years together. Their connection began over two decades ago when they met on the set of the 1991 Kenny Rogers movie The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw. They stayed close friends over the years, and in 2020, their relationship blossomed into something more. Since then, they’ve been happily by each other’s side.
Since they began dating, McEntire and Linn have done almost everything together—from traveling the world and walking red carpets to working as costars in the new sitcom Happy’s Place.
However, that doesn’t mean they don’t have a few quirks that drive each other a little crazy, just like any other relationship.

While chatting with NBC Insider to promote their new sitcom, Linn shared that McEntire has a food habit that he dislikes.
When asked what fans might not know about his superstar girlfriend, Linn revealed that McEntire has a pretty unusual love for ketchup.
“You won’t believe it. She puts ketchup on everything,” Linn said.
“It just drives me nuts. Everything. She’ll put ketchup on ice cream,” he continued. “There are 17 bottles of ketchup in that refrigerator.”
It seems that Reba McEntire is not just the queen of country music, but also the queen of ketchup.
Happy’s Place Attracts Over 4 Million Viewers During Its Debut
After months of teasing, McEntire’s new sitcom, Happy’s Place, finally premiered on NBC on Friday, October 18.
In the show, Reba plays Bobbie, who takes over her father’s tavern after his passing. Life turns upside down for Bobbie though when she discovers she has a much younger half-sister she never knew about. Bobbie and her new sibling, Isabella (played by Belissa Escobedo), must learn to work together to run their father’s business while also navigating their new family dynamic.
The sitcom also features familiar faces, which made the show’s debut even more exciting.
Melissa Peterman, McEntire’s former co-star from Reba, plays Gabby, a bartender, while McEntire’s boyfriend, Rex Linn, takes on the role of Emmett, a cook. Fans might also recognize Yellowstone and 1883 star Tokala Black Elk as a waiter named Takoda, and Pablo Castelblanco, who plays Steve, the tavern’s accountant.
The show’s first episode was a success, with 4.026 million viewers tuning in to watch Happy’s Place on the night of its premiere. It also ranked as the fifth most-watched primetime telecast among total viewers that night.
Happy’s Place will air new episodes every Friday on NBC, and we can’t wait to see more of these characters’ stories develop!
