Ree Drummond’s daughter, Paige, just introduced the cutest new addition to her family.
It’s been a year full of exciting changes for Paige Drummond. For starters, in May 2025, the 26-year-old tied the knot with her longtime partner, David.
Fans found out that Paige was getting married to her college sweetheart when Ree confirmed her daughter’s engagement in a post on social media back in August 2024. She shared photos of the happy couple just moments after David popped the question.
“Happiness is seeing your daughter happy! 😊❤️ Congratulations, David and Paige! (This is gonna be fun!)”
Paige and David ended up having their wedding less than a year later. They officially said “I do” during a ceremony held on the Drummond family ranch in Oklahoma.
And now, they are kicking off 2026 in a big way. Paige and David recently announced that they officially adopted an adorable new puppy.
Paige shared the sweet news on Instagram, posting a series of photos of her and David cuddled up with their new pup, a chocolate lab named Murphy.
“Can’t think of a better way to start the New Year! Welcome home, Murphy!! 🥹🤎,” she captioned the post.
Her mom, Ree, also shared the news on her blog page. The Pioneer Woman gave a little insight into Murphy finding his forever family.
She shared that Paige and David had driven down to southern Texas to get Murphy. On his very first night in his new home, he slept peacefully on a fuzzy brown throw blanket that Ree had gifted Paige for Christmas.
“I had gotten Paige a fuzzy throw for Christmas, and the color wasn’t accidental,” Ree wrote. “She texted me on Murphy’s first night and reported that he’d snuggled into the blanket as if it were his brother. (He also likes taking naps under the coffee table!)”
When deciding on what breed they wanted to get, Paige has always loved chocolate labs because they remind her of the family dog she grew up with.
“I can totally understand why Paige was drawn to a brown lab,” Ree said. “Some of you who have read my website since the very early days might remember Bob, our old brown lab who constantly carried either a Dr Pepper can or a wood log around in his mouth.”
