This year, Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker will serve as the new co-hosts of the CMA Awards. The two of them sat down for an interview for the ABC special Country Strong 2020: Countdown to the CMA Awards, during which they talked about the Awards and their respective careers.
McEntire addressed her budding romance with CSI: Miami and Young Sheldon actor Rex Linn, and admitted she’s fallen head over heels for him.
“I’m in love,” she said. She went on to add that her love for Linn has inspired her musically, “…[being in love] really inspires me to find love songs, to find happy songs,” she said.
McEntire said being with Linn makes her feel like a “giddy teenager again.” Based on the few pictures they’ve shared with each other, we can tell they are enjoying each other’s company!
Linn seems to be just as smitten with McEntire as she is with him. The day before the CMA Awards, Linn shared a photo of McEntire preparing for the ceremony.
The picture shows McEntire wearing a rhinestone-covered face shield over a mask while looking right at the camera. Linn was a big fan of her sparkly shield, and captioned the picture by saying his girlfriend was “Blinged out for the CMA’S!”
