Reba McEntire’s New Sitcom Reference’s Her Role On The Voice
Happy’s Place made its return on Friday, January 3, after a short winter break.
Reba McEntire has had a packed schedule recently. She just finished her third season as a coach on The Voice while simultaneously debuting her brand-new sitcom on NBC titled Happy’s Place.
The show premiered in October and quickly became a hit. Fans were thrilled to see Reba back on their television screens, remembering how much they loved her self-titled sitcom from the early 2000s.
Over 4 million people watched the first episode of Happy’s Place, which led to the show announcing a full season with 18 episodes.
If you haven’t watched yet, Happy’s Place follows Reba’s character, Bobbie, who inherits her father’s restaurant. Her life takes a wild turn when she finds out she has a half-sister she never knew about. The show explores their journey as they run the restaurant together and handle all the chaos that comes with it and each other.

In the latest episode of the sitcom, Reba’s two worlds come together with a funny joke that playfully pokes fun at her stint on The Voice.
The episode has Bobbie and Gabby (played by Melissa Peterman) going head-to-head to decide who will emcee the anniversary celebration for the restaurant. During one scene, Bobbie turns to Emmett (played by Reba’s real-life boyfriend, Rex Linn) for help.
That’s when Emmett hilariously responds, “I realize you don’t know anything about judging a talent contest, but decisions should be made on talent and talent alone.”
“That is what America expects and that is what America deserves,” he adds.
In real life, Reba knows plenty about being a successful judge and spotting talent. Her time on The Voice proved it, especially when she led her team member, Asher HaVon, to victory in Season 25.
Reba announced she was leaving The Voice after Season 26, likely because of her busy schedule now that Happy’s Place is taking off. However, who knows? Maybe we’ll see her return as a judge in the future outside of her sitcom!
