The ACM Awards are right around the corner! And the only announcement more anticipated than nominations is who will have the honor of hosting the annual awards show.
The Academy of Country Music announced Thursday morning (April 25) that Reba McEntire will take on hosting duties for their 59th annual show that will take place Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Reba will take center stage at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, the world headquarters for the Dallas Cowboys, for the show that will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime. This marks the second year in a row that the ACM Awards will be held at The Star.
This won’t be the first time the entertainment icon hosted the legendary awards show. In fact, she has hosted 16 times previously, the first time being in 1986. Reba last hosted solo in 2019 and shared hosting duties off an in years prior with talents ranging from Blake Shelton, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Hank Williams Jr. and more.
The “Fancy” singer shared the news on social media, saying, “Oh hey @ACMawards, have you missed me? I can’t wait to host this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards.”
In a surprise announcement, she added that she will also be performing new music during the show.

Reba expressed her excitement over her return in a statement included in a press release that read,“I am tickled to pieces to get to host the ACM Awards for the 17th time! What an honor to have been part of the past, present and now the future of the Academy of Country Music with Amazon Prime Video. I can’t wait to get to Texas and see everybody May 16th!”
The 2024 ACM Award nominations were announced in early April.
Luke Combs leads nominations with an impressive eight nods followed by Megan Moroney and Morgan Wallen who have six each. Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson have five nominations each, and Jelly Roll and Jordan Davis earned four nods each.
But, all eyes are on Jelly Roll who is a first-time nominee and is in the running for the night’s biggest award, Entertainer of the Year. Jelly Roll is the first artist since Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992 to get a nomination for Entertainer of the Year in their first set of nods.
