On Tuesday, December 15, NBC’s The Voice crowned its winner for Season 28.
After a two-night season finale, the remaining six finalists took the stage for the big moment to learn where they placed. When the time finally came, the show’s host, Carson Daly, revealed that Team Niall’s Aiden Ross was the official champion.

It’s definitely mind-blowing to think that someone’s life can change forever with just one audition.
As fans know, the Blind Audition can make or break a contestant’s chance at success. Picking the right song is key, since it needs to grab the coaches’ attention and make them turn their chairs to join their team.

The coaches’ opinions matter most, and they rely on their own experience to spot the right talent. With that in mind, it’s only natural to wonder what they think makes the perfect audition song.
If the roles were reversed, how would they step on stage and impress a panel of celebrities?
Well, Reba McEntire knows exactly what she would do. In an interview with NBC Insider before the Season 28 finale, she shared the song she would choose for her own Blind Audition if she were an up-and-coming artist… and her answer might surprise you!
What Would Reba’s Blind Audition Song Be?
As the queen of country, you might expect Reba to choose a well-known country song for her audition. But you’d be wrong.
Instead, she has a soft spot for Teddy Swim’s 2023 smash hit, “Lose Control.”
“Love that song!” Reba told the outlet.
Teddy Swims has actually taken the Voice stage before to sing the track. The Grammy-nominated artist performed it back in 2023 for the show’s Season 24 finale.

There’s no doubt that hearing Reba belt out the powerful song would be an unforgettable moment and would absolutely earn her a four-chair turn!
Is Reba Returning For Season 29 Of The Voice?
Season 28 may have just wrapped up, but there’s already important information announced for next season.
In Season 29, there will be quite a few changes. For starters, Reba will not be returning to the coaching panel this time around.
In fact, none of the recent four coaches will be coming back. For the first time in the show’s history, Season 29 will have just three pros behind the panel: former champions Adam Levine, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson.
The new season, called The Voice: Battle of Champions, will also introduce some major new rules.
During the Blind Auditions, the coaches will take part in a “Triple Turn Competition,” trying to get the most three-chair turns. The coaches with the most at the end will earn a “Super Steal,” which they can use in the Battle Round to block another coach’s steal attempt.
But that’s not all. In the Knockout Rounds, each coach will bring back two contestants from past seasons to compete in a sing-off.
The coach who wins the most sing-offs will earn the power to send two of their current team members straight to the finale.
Then, when the semi-finals and finals arrive, the show will introduce a brand-new “voting block.” This means that a group of super fans and former Voice contestants will vote in real time for their favorite finalists to help decide the winner.
The premiere episode of Season 29 will air on Monday, February 23, at 9/8c PM on NBC.
