Cassidy Lamborn may only be a teenager, but she started her own Christmas tradition a few years ago.
Each Christmas, Cassidy takes the time to bake a cake for Jesus. She also bakes a second cake each year, with that other cake being for her favorite country singer, Randy Travis.
KJRH News out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, describes how Cassidy’s mom, Summer, decided to get in touch with Randy to see if he could surprise her daughter for Christmas this year.
“Her mom wrote to Randy and he agreed to stop by their home in Beggs on the way to Nashville as a surprise for his biggest fan,” KJRH reports.
Randy paid a visit to the Lamborn house. Summer filmed her daughter’s reaction to meeting her idol, and she was thrilled to say the least.

KJRH shared the video of Cassidy and Randy’s meeting. The video shows Cassidy walking down the hallway to discover Randy and his wife, Mary, in her living room.
With a huge smile on her face, Cassidy shook Randy’s hand before leaning in to give him a hug. You can tell she was in awe of the man she has admired for years.
After hugging Randy, Cassidy then turned to Mary and gave her a hug as well. What a sweet girl!
