Post Malone Stopped By His Local Pizza Hut in Utah

When he’s not on the road performing shows, Post Malone lives in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City.

“I love living here in Cottonwood Heights. It’s the most amazing place ever,” he said in a video. “I have had such a great time over these years.”

Watch Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Post, discuss his love for the town in the video below.

While he was home recently, he stopped by a Pizza Hut at 9:30 AM, thirty minutes before the store even opened. The manager was there and once he saw who was waiting at the door, he opened the store early.

20-year-old Kolby Aguila was the manager who opened the doors for Post Malone to fulfill his order.

In an interview with Music Mayhem, Aguila described their encounter by saying, “He came in before the store was opening, and I opened the store early for him because he’s a rockstar. I was starstruck it was so unbelievable.”

Post ordered three medium pan cheese pizzas, one large order of cheese sticks, and 24 extra crispy boneless, spicy chicken wings. According to Pizza Hut’s website, his total would have been somewhere around $100.

Instead of waiting in his car or outside, Post Malone waited in the store for his order and chatted with employees. He even took photos with them!

Aguila then said Post Malone left him a tip that had him nearly in tears.

As the rockstar was signing his bill, he left Kolby a $1,200 tip.

“I was almost in tears,” he told Music Mayhem. “I was so happy, and it was just so insane. It will help me out with bills that I need to pay, it helps out so much!”

Kolby told Music Mayhem he is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business, but did not specify which college. A longtime fan of Post Malone, Kolby wants him to know, “I love you man, you appreciate the youth and love your fans, it’s a straight honor.”

Post Malone is no stranger to leaving life-changing tips.

On Christmas Eve, Post Malone gave a $20,000 tip to his bartender at The Railyards in Houston, Texas.

“I immediately broke down crying. It was a very emotional night already being away from home [and my daughter], being swamped behind the bar, trying to process that they were even there and then the tip on top,” the bartender, named Renee, said.
