There’s no doubt about it – legendary actor Sam Elliott has aged incredibly well. Some would even say he’s more attractive these days than he was back in the 60s or 70s! At 74 years old, Elliott hit the big screen again on October 5 in a brand-new remake of the classic film A Star Is Born.
Because of his recent movie, we are seeing more and more of him in the media, which made us think about his long career and how he’s been a making ladies swoon since his start in show business in 1969!

Elliott starred in the 1978 film The Legacy with his future wife, Katharine Ross. Though she did co-star in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, which was his 1969 film debut, they did not meet until filming The Legacy.
They have been married since 1984.

Elliott and his fellow mustachioed friend Tom Selleck co-starred in a number of TV Western movies, the first being The Sacketts, an adaptation of the popular Louis L’amour novel.

Elliott joined the Marvel Comics world in 2003 when he played General Thunderbolt Ross in 2003’s Hulk alongside Eric Bana and Jennifer Connolly. Because he played a United States military officer, he had a traditional military haircut, short mustache and all.
Even though this look is a tad different than what we’re used to from him, we still love it!
2007
In 2007, Elliott played a Texan aeronaut names Lee Scoresby who befriends main character Lyra in the film The Golden Compass. His likeness from this film was even created into a doll!
Audiences everywhere were thrilled when Elliott signed on to star in the Netflix series The Ranch, which gave him hilarious one-liners, and of course – another chance for us to marvel at his good looks!
