Who Won The New Artist Of 2023 Award At The People’s Choice Country Awards?
The People’s Choice Country Awards aired their inaugural ceremony on NBC and Peacock on Thursday (September 28). Little Big Town served as the hosts of the event, which was held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
Performers included Blake Shelton, Carly Pearce, Toby Keith, and Kane Brown, among others.
Much like the larger People’s Choice Awards, the People’s Choice Country Awards are all fan-voted. Voting was open between August 16-August 25.
One of the awards is called The New Artist of 2023. This award is meant for an artist who is fairly new to performing or experienced a breakout moment in 2023.

The winner of the People’s Choice Country Award for The New Artist of 2023 is none other than…Jelly Roll!
Jelly Roll was not able to attend the People’s Choice Country Awards because he had a show in Cincinnati that night. His win in the New Artist category was also not announced on-air, but some of his other wins were!
Jelly Roll won the award for the Male Artist of 2023, The Song of 2023 for “Need a Favor,” and The Collaboration Song of the Year with Lainey Wilson for “Save Me.” He accepted the first trophy at his concert, with Elle King presenting it to him. His fans were thrilled on his behalf! We’re sure many of them voted for him to win the award.
