How Did Nicole Kidman Celebrate Her First New Year’s Eve Since Filing For Divorce From Keith Urban?
On her first New Year’s Eve since her split from country star Keith Urban, actress Nicole Kidman celebrated in Australia with their daughters by her side.
Fans were shocked when Nicole filed for divorce from Keith on September 30 after 19 years of marriage. The news came just one day after reports surfaced that the couple had separated in the summer.
Court records cited by The Tennessean listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the couple’s separation. The documents indicated that Keith and Nicole “had all details of their divorce agreed upon and signed before the case was filed.”
Nicole was granted primary paternal rights for her and Keith’s daughters, Sunday (age 17) and Faith (age 15). However, both Keith and Nicole will make joint decisions regarding significant things in their daughters’ lives. If they can’t reach a consensus, Nicole gets the final say.
According to their parenting arrangement, Nicole will have the girls with her 306 days of the year.

While Nicole celebrated New Year’s Eve in Australia with their daughters, Keith Urban helped ring in the New Year in Nashville. He joined the all-star lineup of performers who sang during the New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash special, which aired on CBS.
Keith performed from Barstool Nashville and sang two songs. He performed his own track, “Straight Line,” and covered New Radicals’ “You Get What You Give.”
In addition to Keith, the five-hour program featured performances from Jason Aldean, Lainey Wilson, Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & Dunn, CeCe Winans, Riley Green, Megan Moroney, and several other artists.
Keith joined Megan Moroney onstage for the big New Year’s Eve countdown. They raised their cups in a toast as the clock struck midnight, with confetti raining on the crowd as “Auld Lang Syne” played.
