In 2017, Ford’s global operations president Joe Hinrichs announced that the company would be bringing back a vehicle that hadn’t been in production since 1996 – the Bronco.

Hinrichs didn’t give consumers many details during his announcement at the 2017 North American International Auto, but he did say that new model would be available in both 2-door and 4-door.

Hinrichs said, it will be “a no-compromise midsize 4×4 utility for the thrill-seekers who want freedom and off-road functionality, with the space and versatility of an SUV. It’s capable of conquering everything from your daily commute to gravel roads and boulders.”
Since that initial announcement, there has been only one photo released by Ford, which was in March 2018.
In the 1960s we started an off-road phenomenon. The icon returns in 2020.

In March, people online began saying that photos of the actual 2021 Bronco have been leaked and they’re going crazy for the photos!
Twitter user Cole Marzen wrote, “The 2021 Ford Bronco has been caught completely exposed from more angles ahead of its unveiling later this month. From what can be seen, the SUV features retro-inspired styling, removable roof components, and large off-road tires.”

Marzen also tweeted the following, “The rear profile of the 2021 Ford Bronco has been spied completely undisguised ahead of its unveiling later this month. Additionally, the SUV will be available in 10 exterior colors to choose from and a seven-speed manual transmission will be offered.”

Marzen initially said that the Bronco’s reveal would come in April, but that has yet to happen. According to Roadshow, the reveal will still happen this spring, but The Drive reports that the vehicle will not be in show rooms until 2021 due to coronavirus shutdowns.
“We’re not going to do any additional delay to these launches beyond the impact of Covid-19 as a mechanism to conserve cash,” said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford’s head of product development and purchasing. “Given our inability to work in the assembly plants during the shelter-in-place restrictions, it will have an impact to program timing, in terms of the launches. But we expect the launch delays to be commensurate with the duration of the shutdown period.”
Sad news for Ford Bronco fans, but we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait!
