Annie Lauren, A Songwriter & Photographer Residing In Nashville, Dies At Age 29 Following Short Battle With Cancer
Annie Lauren, a talented songwriter, singer, and photographer in Nashville, died on Thursday morning (August 24). She was 29 years old.
Annie’s family released a statement about her death on her official social media pages. They said:
“Anne Lauren Fletcher (Annie) age 29, passed into the loving arms of her Savior this morning August 24th after a brief and unexpected battle with cancer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was surrounded by her family who love her deeply and will miss her terribly.”

Annie’s parents are named Todd and Cheri Fletcher. She was a “wonderful big sister” to her younger siblings, Charlie and Carson.
Nashville was home to Annie. It’s where she became “a beloved member of the song writing community.” She also worked as a photographer, and her beautiful portraits are available to view on her Annie Lauren Productions Instagram page.
Annie had the opportunity to photograph several other artists in Music City. She took pictures of Christian artist TobyMac, American Idol alum Jon Wayne Hatfield, country duo Tupelo Honey, and Black Opry member Julie Williams.
The Tennessean published several photos Annie took of Julie in June. Annie celebrated the accomplishment, saying:
“This year has been a year of many firsts for me. My first photography credit in the Tennessean is so special to me because it’s with one of my good friends who inspires me so incredibly much. @juliewilliamsmusic is a magnetic light with a beautiful voice to match. I had a blast doing content for this article.”

Annie Lauren Released Her Own Music Too
On top of being a songwriter and photographer, Annie was a singer herself. She just released a new song, called “Miss You in the Morning,” on March 24.
