Miranda Lambert’s Husband Brendan McLoughlin Has A Son

When Miranda Lambert married her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, in January 2019, she instantly became a stepmom. Brendan’s son from a previous relationship was born in November 2018.

Brendan previously served as an officer in the NYPD, and is from New York City. Miranda spoke with Extra later in 2019 about her experience splitting time between Tennessee and NYC so they could visit Brendan’s son.

We have the best of both worlds,” she said. “We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget, then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. I’m enjoying the balance.”

In the same interview, Miranda opened up about her life as a stepmom:

My stepson is amazing,” she said. “I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing…so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.”

Miranda & Her Stepson Share A Sweet Holiday Tradition

Miranda’s stepson is now four years old. While promoting her new cookbook Y’all Eat Yet? Welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen, she shared the recipe she makes with him every year as a tradition.

The recipe is for an Easter bunny sheet cake, which Miranda has been making since she was a child herself. “You know what, I’ve been making that bunny cake — it’s the first picture in the whole book. I made it for the first time I think in second grade,” she told CBS Mornings.

Now, Miranda makes the same bunny cake with her stepson:

“…my stepson’s four-and-a-half, and I make the bunny cake with him now,” she said. “So it’s really, it’s our tradition. This whole book is about carrying on traditions and making memories.”
