Miranda Lambert recently got the chance to take a trip home to Texas. During her visit, she went out on a “lunch date” with her Paw Paw, who is her mother Beverly’s father.
The “If I Was a Cowboy” singer shared two selfies she took with her Paw Paw on the day of their outing. She gushed about how funny he is, saying:
“He has the best stories and the best sense of humor. We were both laughing in pic 2 because he said ‘who is taking the picture ?’ I said me…it’s a selfie.'”
Miranda went on to share how her Paw Paw was the person who bought her first pair of cowgirl boots and her first cowboy hat. She was only eight years old then, but still looks back on the memory with fondness.
“Guess he knew back then I was gonna be a country girl forever,” Miranda said. “Love you so much Paw Paw Hughes(my mamas daddy). Best lunch date ever.”

While in Texas, Miranda also went on a nice dinner date with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin. Brendan shared a photo from their “perfect date night” where they enjoyed “an amazing dinner.” See that picture in Brendan’s post below.
Miranda’s trip home to Texas comes shortly after she wrapped up her first set of shows for her Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas. She returns to the city for a new set of shows at the end of November.
We’re glad Miranda got the chance to enjoy some nice outings with her loved ones in the time between her Vegas shows!
