Miranda Lambert reflects on the two biggest supporters in her life: her mother and husband, Brendan McLoughlin.
With six ACM Awards, 14 CMA Awards, three Grammy Awards, 10 number-one songs, and countless other accolades, Miranda Lambert does not shy away from expressing gratitude for those who have helped her get to where she is today.
In a recent interview with Tamron Hall, Miranda reflects on how she gets support from both her mother, Beverly June Lambert, and her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, but in different ways. The singer shares that her mom is her biggest fan and is “more of a hype girl” and that Brendan tells her the “harsh reality.” She adds:
“He gives me the harsh reality and I love it. As I say, he likes to call me on my s*** which I love because everybody needs somebody in their life that’s like a truth-teller. And he’s very ‘New York’ about it.”
Brendan McLoughlin is a New York native and a former officer with the New York City Police Department.
Miranda concludes that both her mother and her husband are “so proud” and that they are “a part of every step of the way.”
Miranda and Brendan’s Love Story
Miranda lambert and Brendan McLoughlin wed in January 2019 after meeting just three months prior on the set of Good Morning America in Times Square. Miranda was performing on the show with her band the Pistol Annies while Brendan was working security. The pair successfully kept their relationship under the radar once they started dating, and even kept their marriage a secret for almost a month until Miranda shared the news in a Valentine’s Day post on Instagram.

While the pair wasted no time in tying the knot, their love seems to remain strong as they regularly share their adventures and happy moments online and will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary this month!
