Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin quietly wed in January 2019
Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin said “I do” in January 2019, just three months after meeting on the set of Good Morning America in Times Square. Miranda performed on the show with her band, the Pistol Annies, while Brendan worked security.
The pair successfully kept their relationship under the radar once they started dating. They even kept their marriage a secret for almost a month until Miranda shared the news in a Valentine’s Day post online.
When asked later that year about the speedy nuptials, Miranda explained:
“I feel like I’ve been through enough in my life to know what I don’t want, so when I know what I do want, I snatch it right up.”

Miranda Lambert reveals her number one rule in marriage
In a recent conversation with PEOPLE, Miranda shared the one rule she and Brendan have implemented to make their marriage last.
“It’s communication. We just talk it out, whatever it is, we talk about everything,” Miranda said. “And I think communication is super important, especially because women, we expect men to know what we’re thinking and they don’t. We got to tell them.”
In an earlier interview, Miranda revealed that Brendan is not afraid to get real during their talks. She shared:
“He gives me the harsh reality and I love it. As I say, he likes to call me on my s*** which I love because everybody needs somebody in their life that’s like a truth-teller.”
