On January 26, 2019, Miranda Lambert married NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin during a secret ceremony in Tennessee. The couple didn’t publicize their marriage until February 16, which was when Lambert shared the happy news on social media.
“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news,” Lambert wrote. “I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for…. me.“
Lambert also posted two pictures from their wedding day.

Lambert shared additional photos from her wedding with People.
A few months into her marriage, Lambert described just how private her wedding was. Speaking to People once again, she said no one else was in attendance. “I didn’t have nobody,” she said. “That was mine and his moment.”
Recently, Lambert decided to share another little piece of that moment in honor of her and McLoughlin’s first anniversary.
Taking to social media, Lambert posted a previously never-before-seen photo from her 2019 wedding. The picture shows her and McLoughlin smiling as they walked hand-in-hand through the woods.
“I’m so happy to walk through this life with you,” Lambert wrote in the photo’s caption. “Thank you Brendan for making me the proudest wife and stepmom. You are the reason for all my new smile lines.
I love you.”

Lambert has said the music on her latest record, Wildcard, was inspired by her relationship with McLoughlin and the time she has spent with him in NYC. You can listen to her song “Bluebird” in the clip below to hear how that influence played out.
Congratulations to Lambert and McLoughlin on their first year of marriage! We wish them many years of love and happiness together.
