Miranda Lambert is celebrating her first victory on the golf course.
Over the past few months, Miranda Lambert has been sharing glimpses of her newest hobby with fans: golfing.
She first picked it up because it’s one of her husband’s favorite activities, and it didn’t take long for her to get hooked, too.
Even though she’s fairly new to the sport, Lambert felt confident enough in her skills to announce earlier this month that she would be competing in the Celebrity Ryder Cup match.
The star-studded event happens just days before the bi-annual Ryder Cup, where 12 top American golfers go head-to-head against 12 top European golfers.
The Celebrity Ryder Cup took place on Wednesday, September 24, at Bethpage Black Golf Course.
Alongside Lambert on Team USA were teammates Colin Jost, Eli Manning, Michael Strahan, Noah Kahan, Kane Brown, Bobby Flay, and John McEnroe.
Playing against them for Team Europe were Toni Kukoč, Brooklynn Beckham, Caterine Zeta-Jones, Pau Gasol, Tom Felton, Oliver Phelps, Teemu Selanne, and Jose Andres.
Lambert has been sharing her practice sessions with fans leading up to the big day. She admitted that before this, she had “only ever played 22 holes of golf” in her life.
But when it came time to compete, she looked like a pro. Paired with Michael Strahan, the two went on to win their match!

In fact, Team USA claimed victory over Team Europe for the entire competition. After the game, Lambert shared a slideshow of photos and videos showing her and her teammates out on the course.
“Actin’ Up at the Ryder Cup. Go USA,” she captioned the post.
