Miranda Lambert Loses Two Furry Family Members On The Same Day
“The worst part is when the time comes to say goodbye,” said Miranda Lambert as she shared the devastating loss of two of her mini horses, Sugar Pie and Adrianna, who “crossed the rainbow bridge” on the same day.
The “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer had owned the pair for 18 years. She did not share the cause of their deaths. She wrote:
“I can’t tell you how much joy they brought me. The best part about being an animal mom is the joy.”
Along with a series of sweet photos and videos featuring her equine companions, Miranda expressed gratitude to Tommy, Julia, and Sarah, as well as others who helped care for the animals and give them “the best life” while she was on the road pursuing her music career. She concluded:
“Godspeed little bitty’s. I know you are both in greener pastures as I type this. I’ll see y’all again one day.”
Miranda’s Passion For Animals
The Texas native is an avid animal lover and has many furry family members with her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, on their Tennessee farm. These include horses, goats, shelter cats, and dogs. She describes the lot as her “farmily.”
The number of animals in Miranda’s care has varied over the years, as some pass on and others join the family. Recently, she spoke about her two dogs, a chihuahua named Cher and a retriever named Bellamy.
Additionally, she established her own non-profit, MuttNation, with her mother, Bev Lambert. The organization is a “donation-supported 501c(3) nonprofit organization with a US-focused mission to support the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay & neuter, educate the public about the benefits of these actions, and provide assistance to shelters during times of natural disaster.”
