It was a show fit for a king (or queen!) and one lucky fan captured it all on tape!

During a CMA Summer Jam set, country superstar Miranda Lambert and a few of her famous friends took on a classic hit from one of the foremost southern rock bands…and it didn’t disappoint!

Miranda Lambert, joined by none other than Dierks Bentley and the duo Osborne Brothers (all of them featured as headliners for the evening) surprised country fans with a newfangled version of an Allman Brothers classic – “Midnight Rider.”

The song has been a beloved part of music history for more than 50 years and has been recorded by countless artists over the decades. Notably, Joe Cocker, Willie Nelson, and Gregg Allman all released their own versions of the song – and all charted in the Top 40.

Together, these talented country stars found bone-chilling harmonies, irresistible guitar licks, and dazzling vocals that made headlines across the country.
