Two of our favorite Hollywood actors, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, might actually be BROTHERS!

The pair first captured our hearts as partners-in-crime in the hit series True Detective, and now they’re set to star in the Apple TV+ series Brother From Another Mother.

But could it be that their on-screen brotherly bond extends beyond the world of fiction?

According to McConaughey himself, there have always been blurry lines between him and Harrelson. Their families even get them mixed up in old photos! McConaughey’s kids call Harrelson “Uncle Woody,” while Harrelson’s kids call McConaughey “Uncle Matthew.”

“You see pictures of us and my family thinks a lot of pictures of him are me. His family thinks a lot of pictures of me are him.” McConaughey said, according to Insider.

And if that wasn’t enough, McConaughey’s mom dropped a bombshell on the group during a trip to Greece a few years ago. She said she “knew” Harrelson’s dad back in the day, and let’s just say, the ellipses in her statement left a lot to the imagination.

“She says, ‘Woody, I knew your dad.’ Everyone was aware of the ellipses that my mom left after ‘knew.’ It was a loaded K-N-E-W,” McConaughey said.

After some math and detective work, the two actors discovered that Harrelson’s dad was on furlough at the same time that McConaughey’s parents were going through their second divorce.

“There’s possible receipts and places out in West Texas where there might have been a gathering, or a meeting, or a ‘knew’ moment,” McConaughey said.

But here’s the kicker: McConaughey is hesitant to take a DNA test because it could completely upend his entire understanding of his family tree. Can you imagine finding out at 53 years old that the man you thought was your dad all along might not be?

“Look, it’s a little easier for Woody to say, ‘Come on, let’s do it!’ because what’s the skin in it for him? It’s a little harder for me because he’s asking me to take a chance to go, ‘Wait a minute, you’re trying to tell me my dad may not be my dad after 53 years of believing that?’ I got a little more skin in the game,” McConaughey explained.

Despite his reservations, we can’t help but be on the edge of our seats waiting to find out if these two Hollywood heavyweights are truly brothers.

The idea of McConaughey and Harrelson being related is almost too much to handle, but we’re here for it! All we can say is, bring on their new film Brother From Another Mother because we are more excited than ever to see these two share the screen once again!
