Duck Dynasty‘s John Luke And Mary Kate Robertson Welcome Twin Daughters
One month has passed since John Luke and Mary Kate Robertson had their twin daughters, Sylvie and Francie.
The Duck Dynasty couple announced in October that they were expecting twin girls. They didn’t reveal Mary Kate’s exact due date, but did share that the twins would arrive “early” in 2026.
The girls were born on February 24, joining three older siblings: John Shepherd, Ella, and Wells.
“Life is already so much sweeter with Sylvie & Francie in it. So thankful for these precious gifts!!” John Luke and Mary Kate shared when they announced the twins’ birth.
John Luke’s mother, Korie, also shared several pictures of the girls, writing:
“Our twin girls are here! Sylvie and Francie, you are everything we prayed for and more. Perfect little miracle gifts from God. We can’t stop staring at you, and noticing all of the beautiful little details about you. We love you with all of our hearts.”

The Meaning Behind The Robertson Twins’ Names Revealed
In the month since Sylvie and Francie’s birth, Mary Kate has been showing her followers what life is like with newborn twins.
Additionally, in an Instagram Story she posted in early March, Mary Kate shared the meaning behind one of the girls’ names.
She explained that “Francie” was the girl name they had chosen for their youngest son, Wells. They didn’t learn his gender ahead of time, so they ordered two sweaters before his birth, one that said “Francie” and one that said “Wells.”
They didn’t need the Francie sweater, but they held onto it, just in case. Then, when Mary Kate and John Luke learned they were having twin daughters, they decided to order a new “Francie” sweater with the name in pink so she could match her sister, Sylvie.

Naturally, fans wondered about the twins’ middle names and if they have a story behind them as well. Turns out, they do!
In another Instagram Story post on March 25, Mary Kate shared the girls’ middle names. They are Francie Claire and Sylvie Grace.
Mary Kate explained how the twins’ middle names honor two special people in her life. One of her closest friends has the middle name “Claire,” which is why they chose it for Francie.
As for “Grace,” that is Mary Kate’s sister’s middle name. So little Sylvie is named after her aunt!
