Martina McBride is set to join the cast of a new reality talent competition titled “Second Chance Stage,” produced by Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Network.
The network is launching a variety of family-friendly unscripted series for streaming service Max, aiming to provide content suitable for viewers of all ages to enjoy together.
“We’re excited to unveil a fun and broad slate of new shows intended to bring families together for engaging, playful and inspiring co-viewing experiences,” Magnolia Network president Allison Page said.
“We recognized a white space in Max for fun, family-friendly content with unique formats and imaginative competition shows. We seized the opportunity to use our storytelling expertise to help bring these concepts to life and are thrilled to partner with Max to build a content offering the whole family will love.”
About “Second Chance Stage”
The new series, “Second Chance Stage,” will be an eight-episode talent competition filmed in Kansas City that offers contestants who have set aside their dreams for years or even decades a second chance at their big break. Contestants will showcase various talents, including dancing, singing, stand-up comedy, and more, with the chance to win a $100,000 cash prize, according to Warner Bros. Martina McBride, actor Taye Diggs, and comedian Heidi Gardner will serve as judges, while sports broadcaster Emmanuel Acho will host the show.

In addition to “Second Chance Stage,” the Magnolia Network will introduce three other exciting series.
“Human vs. Hamster” will be a lighthearted competition where teams of people and hamsters face off in various challenges to determine the superior species.
“Back to the Frontier” will follow families as they embark on a bold social experiment, leaving behind modern comforts to live as pioneers from the 1800s.
And lastly, “Roller Jam” will showcase top roller-skating crews from across the country as they compete to earn the title of America’s best roller dancing team.
All four series are set to air this Fall on the Magnolia Network, streaming on Max.
