Luke Combs and his wife Nicole welcomed their first child on Father’s Day (June 19). Nicole gave birth to a baby boy.
The couple named their son Tex Lawrence Combs. They introduced him on social media two days after his birth.
“Welp he decided that Fathers Day would be a good time to show up,” Luke wrote in his post announcing Tex’s arrival. “I couldn’t agree more. Me and @nicolejcombs are over the moon in love with this little guy. Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family. Life is good. Everyone welcome Tex Lawrence Combs to the world!“
Nicole said, “It’s going to be hard to top this past Father’s Day…Welcome to the world, Tex Lawrence Combs. You are the best chillest angel boy and I’m so happy I was chosen to be your mom. These are the days.”

Luke and Nicole have shared the occasional update on how life is going with a newborn. On June 29, Nicole shared a photo of Tex on her Instagram Story and said, “I’ve been super MIA lately just trying to figure life out. It’s pretty crazy how quick your priorities change once you have a child…”
Nicole also said that her and Luke’s pets “have adjusted perfectly” to having Tex in the house. Though Nicole admits the animals do “want all his toys and things to themselves.”
The new mama shared another update on Tuesday (July 5). She posted a new photo that shows her holding Tex while touching her nose to his.
“wishing I could bottle up these days,” she sweetly captioned the picture. Though she was quick to note she could do without the “whole no sleep thing..”
