It was a Father’s Day to remember for country singer Luke Combs and his wife Nicole Hocking! The pair welcomed their first child, a son, giving Combs a big reason to celebrate.
Tex Lawrence Combs made his entrance into the world on Sunday, June 19, per a statement released by Combs to social media.
“Welp he decided that Fathers Day would be a good time to show up. I couldn’t agree more. Me and @nicolejcombs are over the moon in love with this little guy. Mama and baby are healthy and we’re back home now with family. Life is good. Everyone welcome Tex Lawrence Combs to the world!”

While the couple kept their son’s name a secret, Nicole hinted at little Tex’s name in on Instagram earlier this month saying that it is “a family name, but also pretty unique.” She also shared that choosing a name for their firstborn was a difficult task.
Luke and Nicole, who wed in 2020 after a two-year engagement, shared their pregnancy news in January with a posts that read, “this may be the best year yet ? baby BOY combs coming spring 2022!! we are so incredibly excited & thankful” and “Here we go y’all! Lil dude Combs is coming this Spring! Couldn’t be more excited to start a family with this babe.”
