We’re only two episodes into the new season of American Idol and Luke Bryan thinks he already knows who will win the coveted Idol title that launched the likes of Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson to superstardom.

15-year-old Casey Bishop from Estero, Florida, told the American Idol judges that she lacked performance experience and only her closest friends and family know that she likes to sing. But, she entered the audition room with confidence and blew them all away.

“As soon as I walked in, they were literally, like, gods,” the high school sophomore told the Fort Myers News-Press of her audition. “I don’t even know. It was like I had an out-of-body experience.”

She wowed the judges with her flawless a cappella cover of Motley Crue’s “Live Wire” during her Idol audition that aired Sunday night (February 21). But, it was her rendition of the blues classic “My Funny Valentine” that brought the prediction from Luke Bryan that the teen was going all the way.

“I wrote ‘Top 10 def’ after the Motley Crue song,” Bryan told the singer before turning to his fellow judges and saying, “I think she’s the winner of American Idol. Period. It’s evident what my opinion is.”

Bryan’s fellow judges, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, agreed and unanimously voted to send Bishop through to the Hollywood round.

“You’re really really really good,” Katy Perry told the teen. “I love that nobody knows that you can sing besides you and a couple of your friends.”

Lionel Richie added, “We’re going to enjoy watching you grow right here in front of us.”
