Luke Bryan Comes To The Rescue Of ‘Idol’ Hopeful

ABC/American Idol/YouTube

American Idol will return to television in one week, and we couldn’t be more excited! With the exception of long-time host Ryan Seacrest, the rest of the show’s lineup is new. While change isn’t always easy to adjust to, we’re pretty sure the new judging panel of Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan is going to be pretty fantastic.

If you have any doubts, just check out some of the clips that are being released leading up to the show’s premiere. One of our favorite behind-the-scenes moments comes from Idol hopeful Jeremy Nugent. As Nugent stands before the judges during his audition, he realizes that his guitar is terribly out of tune. Country star Luke Bryan immediately offers to help saying, “Come here, boy. We’ll get that thing tuned.” Lionel Richie quips, “We are a full service operation, ladies and gentlemen.”

Luke proceeds to tune the guitar as Jeremy stands there in awe. Eventually, Luke hands the guitar back to Nugent who makes his way back to the audition circle. Unfortunately, the clip ends there and we don’t get to hear the contestant sing and we don’t find out Nugent’s fate in the competition.

Tune in to the premiere of the American Idol reboot on ABC, March 11 for Jeremy Nugent’s full audition and many other memorable moments.
