On the anniversary of Betty Sue’s death, Lynn reminisced about her daughter’s talents. She remarked that her daughter was a “great songwriter” and that the two were “big friends.” The singer also revealed that she sometimes still picks up the phone to call Betty Sue. Lynn wrote:
“We talked on the phone every single day…I still sometimes pick up my phone to call her. She made me a mom first. Sometimes it seemed like we were raising each other as young as I was! I fell in love with her the moment I first saw her.”
Lynn explained that she discovered how many fans had suffered a similar loss of a child after sharing a remembrance for her son, Jack. She also invited fans to post pictures of the children they had lost. She shared:
“The void never goes away but God gets us through. If you’ve lost your child, you can post their picture in the comments if you want. I loved seeing each of them. They’re all precious.”
