Introducing The Twins Of Famous Country Singers, Although You Already Know Some Of Them…
While there aren’t many country singers with twin siblings, those who do have a twin often go into the music business with them!
Still, you may be surprised to learn that some of your favorite country duos are (or were) comprised of twins.
However, there’s at least one country singer featured in this list who doesn’t sing with his twin (at least not in public). In fact, his twin brother chose a completely different career path.
Learn who we’re talking about in the list below as we introduce you to several country singers with twin siblings!
Did You Know That These Country Singers Are Twins?
Heather And Jennifer Kinley Of The Kinleys
Identical twin sisters Heather and Jennifer Kinley released their debut album as their duo, The Kinleys, in September 1997. Titled Just Between You and Me, the album reached the 22nd spot on the Top Country Albums chart. It has since been certified Gold by the RIAA.
That album contained the hit singles “Just Between You and Me,” “Please,” and “Dance in the Boat.” They earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for “Please” and won the ACM Award for Top New Vocal Group or Duo in 1998.
The Kinleys released another album, II, in 2000, followed by their third album, All in the Family, in 2004. They decided to disband shortly after the latter album’s release.
Heather and Jennifer now live private lives and devote themselves to their families.
Kate And Kacey Coppola Of Kate & Kacey
Twin sisters Kate and Kacey Coppola rose to fame after competing on the first season of the reality competition series Can You Duet in 2008. Performing under the name The Coppolas, they came in fourth place. Their debut album, Circle Around, came out that same year.
The sisters released their debut single, “Dreaming Love, ” in 2009. The song peaked at the 51st spot on the Hot Country Songs chart. They also released a self-titled Kate & Kacey EP in 2009.
2009 was an eventful year for Kate & Kacey, as they also joined Little Big Town and Kenny Chesney on tour. Additionally, they made their Grand Ole Opry debut on May 8, 2009.
The duo released their last album, Crossroad, in December 2010. Since then, they’ve continued working on music and also wrote two books with their older sister, Kara.
Drew And Jonathan Scott Of The Scott Brothers
You likely know twin brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott from the Property Brothers franchise of shows on HGTV. But they’ve also released songs as the country music duo The Scott Brothers!
Drew and Jonathan wrote and recorded two country songs that premiered during episodes of their 2015 show, Property Brothers: At Home on the Ranch. Those songs were titled “Hold On” and “Let the Night Shine In.” The former song reached the 38th spot on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Additionally, the twins covered Flo Rida’s “My House” with country singer Eric Paslay, and released that recording in 2017.
The Scott Brothers haven’t released any new music as a duo since then. However, Drew Scott released two songs, “You Chose Me” and “Desperate Reno,” in 2018.
Drew and Jonathan continue to host shows on HGTV and work together on various other projects.
Floyd And Freida Parton
Dolly Parton has a total of 11 brothers and sisters, including twin siblings named Floyd and Freida.
Floyd and Freida were born on June 1, 1957. Both of them went on to pursue careers in music, with Floyd being most well-known as a songwriter.
Floyd co-wrote “Nickels and Dimes” with his big sister Dolly, which she turned into a #1 hit. He also wrote the song “Rockin’ Years,” which was a #1 duet for Dolly and Ricky Van Shelton.
As for his twin sister, Freida, she took off in a different musical direction and performed in a punk rock band. However, she still sings country music with her family and performs backing vocals on some of Dolly’s albums. She wrote the track “The Crops Came In,” which she recorded with Dolly for her 2024 album Smoky Mountain DNA.
Freida also became an ordained minister in 2014. She has since opened a wedding chapel and antique store in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Floyd Parton passed away in 2018 at the age of 61.
Jim And Jon Hager Of The Hager Twins
It was pretty obvious to fans that Jim and Jon Hager of The Hager Twins were twins. After all, the word “twins” was in their duo’s name…and they were identical!
The Hager Twins were country singers and comedians who became famous on the television variety show Hee Haw. They were cast members for nearly 20 years.
The twins recorded six albums throughout their career and released their last one in 1986. Their biggest hit was their debut single, “Gotta Get to Oklahoma (‘Cause California’s Gettin’ to Me),” which reached the 41st spot on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Jim Hager died on May 1, 2008. Jon passed away just eight months after his twin brother, on January 9, 2009.
Jake And Jarrod Owen

Remember earlier when we mentioned one country singer with a twin who isn’t in the music business? We were talking about Jake Owen and his fraternal twin brother, Jarrod!
While Jake is a country star known for songs such as “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and “American Country Love Song,” Jarrod pursued an entirely different career. He’s in the insurance business and still lives in his and Jake’s home state of Florida.
“I get asked all the time: Why aren’t you on the road with Jake?” Jarrod told Vero News during an interview in 2014. “He’s asked me several times to leave Vero [Beach], buy a house in Nashville, live up there with him and work for his team. And I’ve always said that was his thing. I’ll still love him and support him, but from the outside, because I wanted him to establish himself in his industry and let me establish myself in my profession.”
Jarrod loves to golf, fish, and play tennis in his spare time. While he isn’t a professional singer like his twin brother, he jokes that he “dabbles” in music as a hobby.
He said, “I sing all the time; I just don’t sing like my twin. God blessed Jake with good lungs. I didn’t get that.”

“Take Back Home Girl” singer Chris Lane has an identical twin!
You may remember his brother, Cory, from when he and Chris auditioned for the seventh season of American Idol in 2008. Their audition, which included some beatboxing, failed to impress the judges, and they were rejected.
Fast-forward to today, Chris is now a successful country music artist. He is known for songs such as “Fix” and “Big, Big Plans,” among others. In 2017, he was nominated for the ACM’s New Male Vocalist of the Year Award.
Cory continues to perform with Chris to this day…because he’s the drummer in his band!

The late country music legend Loretta Lynn had six children, including twin daughters Peggy and Patsy:
“These two are the best and I wouldn’t trade ‘em for the world,” Loretta wrote in a blog post in 2022. “So if I had it to do all over again, I’d tell Dr. Hasty that one more sounds about perfect to me. It turned out in this case that two really are better than one.”
The sisters eventually followed in their mama’s musical footsteps and formed a duo named The Lynns.
The Lynns released their first and only album in 1998. That album produced the hit singles “Nights Like These” and “Woman to Woman.” They were nominated for CMA Vocal Duo of the Year in 1998 and 1999 and also received a nomination for the ACM’s Top New Vocal Group or Duo award in 1998.
In more recent years, Patsy worked closely with Loretta as a producer on some of her final albums. Peggy lives a more private life out of the music industry.
