Lee Brice Shares Powerful Message Of Faith In New Song

Country artist Lee Brice is preparing to release his new 16-song album, Sunriser, on June 5th. He describes the meaning behind the name:

“Anybody can see a sunset, but a sunrise, you gotta earn. Whether you’re waking up or just pulled an all-nighter, I tip my hat to you, sunriser.”

The title was inspired by hard-working people, from “firefighters, nurses, and truck drivers, to blue-collar workers clocking out of graveyard shifts, to tired parents waking up to take care of little ones.”

On Friday, April 3rd, also known as Good Friday, Lee dropped the sixth single from his forthcoming album. The musician emphasizes that if he could only play one song from all the new music he will be releasing, “When The Kingdom Comes” would be the song. He shares:

“Ever since I heard this title, ‘When the Kingdom Comes,’ I was so blown away and knew in my heart it was going to be something beyond special. Something so much more than just a song.”

Sara Brice, Lee’s Wife, Co-Wrote The Song

In addition to the reasons shared above, “When The Kingdom Comes” holds special meaning for Lee because his wife co-wrote it. Lee has been married to Sara Reeveley since 2013, and they have since welcomed three children. In a press release, Lee wrote:

“Being able to write it with two of my best friends and my wife is a huge plus, but how the song ended up, what it became and what its purpose truly is, is so much more important to me.

Jon Stone and Billy Montana rounded out the collaborative songwriting effort.

Hours after the song was released to all platforms, the official music video for “When The Kingdom Comes” dropped. The striking imagery of the video aligns with Lee’s powerful message:

“God has always had a plan. He still does and my hope is for as many ears as possible to hear this and if only one person is changed or brought closer to Jesus, His message and the Kingdom, then it will be all I ever wanted it to be.”
