At the end of the episode, Tommy walks out to his backyard, where Angela is marveling at the sunset and the horses in the field behind their property line. They share a vulnerable conversation about their life together, ultimately saying how grateful they are to have each other and to live the life they live together.

It was one of the most emotional scenes this season and really showed that the couple believes they will make it through all the ups and downs life has to offer. After this touching moment, Angela walks inside. Tommy makes eye contact with a wolf and tells it, “You can’t have today, bud. Today is mine.”
The episode and the season end there.
Ali Larter Reveals She Was Being Bit By Fire Ants During This Scene
To promote the Season 2 finale, Ali Larter appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on January 15. They talked about the phenomenon that is Landman, which catapulted Larter back into superstardom. The actress, who lives in a small town in Idaho, admitted that she was recently approached by Martha Stewart, who is a huge fan of the show!
During the chat, Meyers mentioned that Landman films in the elements of Texas and even uses real oil riggers in the oil field scenes and TCU students in the TCU scenes. He asked if there were difficulties filming in the Texas elements.
In short, she said yes. Larter explained that it was the last shot of a long day they were shooting, so it was a high-pressure scene. She described the scene as taking place at sunset, giving them even less time than usual to film it.

Because it was such a high-stakes scene and she had to be very vulnerable in it, Larter really wanted to do a good job and get the shot so the day could be over. But as the scene began, which she filmed barefoot, she felt something crawling between her toes. She looked down, and she saw fire ants crawling all over her feet!
But before she could react, she felt Billy Bob Thornton walking up behind her, meaning they had begun filming. After they finished the scene, she said the episode’s director ran up to her and said, “Ali, your were so emotional, you were so connected!”
And she responded, “I’m crying because I was getting bit by fire ants!”
She added, “I had welts on my feet. This show takes a toll on this bod.”
Meyers joked that the next time she isn’t reaching that peak of acting, the director will say, “Get the ants!”
It’s clear that Larter was so dedicated this season, and we saw the growth of her character because of it! Landman has already been renewed for Season 3, so stay tuned for updates! Watch Ali Larter tell the fire ant story below.
