Lainey Wilson And Longtime Boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges Announced Their Engagement Earlier This Year
Lainey Wilson and former NFL star Devlin Hodges shared that they were engaged on social media on February 12 with a sweet slideshow of photos from the special moment.
The couple has been together since 2021. After keeping their relationship private for two years, they made their public debut at the 2023 ACM Awards.

Now that they’re planning their wedding, fans are excited to see what Wilson has in mind for the big day. One of the main questions is whether the “Heart Like a Truck” singer will wear her signature bell bottoms when she says “I do.”

Is Lainey Wilson Planning To Wear Bell Bottoms On Her Wedding Day?
Wilson is known for her bell-bottom pants that she wears on and off stage. She wears them so much, actually, that her Grammy-winning album was even titled Bell Bottom Country.
She has talked about her love for the style before, sharing that she’s been sporting bell-bottoms since she was little. As her music career grew, she stuck with them and made them her signature look to stand out.
“A few years in [to her music career], I realized pretty quickly that as a decent female singer-songwriter, that’s not enough. I needed to do something that made me stand out and stand apart,” Wilson said in a 2024 interview with People.
But is she so committed to the style that she’ll walk down the aisle in them? It turns out Wilson has more of a traditional look in mind for the special day between her and her now-fiancé.
On an episode of The Kelleigh Bannen Show on Apple Music Country, Wilson revealed that she plans to wear a dress for her wedding, which is something she’s rarely been seen to do.
“I’m going to wear a dress,” she said. “I hadn’t done the whole dress shopping. We haven’t even picked a date or anything like that. We got some time, but I figured, you know what? I hadn’t worn a dress for him yet, and I guess that would be the day to do it.”
She also talked about the custom ring Hodges designed for her.
Wilson had mentioned in a past interview that she knew exactly what she wanted in an engagement ring even before he popped the question. She once jokingly said her dream ring would be so big it would make her “walk with a limp.”
And Hodges definitely nailed it with the ring he created.
“Years ago I was just joking and being like, ‘Oh, check this out,’ and he was like, ‘Oh shoot,'” she remembered. “I think he started saving four years ago when we first started dating… But he went in and he designed it. He took a couple of the rings that I showed him years ago and put them all together and he outdid himself.”
