Over the weekend, Lainey Wilson took the stage at the T-Mobile Arena during the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. And while she was there, one special fan in the crowd caught her eye for the sweetest reason.

During each show, Wilson usually brings a little girl onstage as her “Cowgirl of the Night.” This time, though, she changed things up. There in the audience was a little boy in a costume, and not just any costume.

He was dressed up as Wilson’s fiancé, Devlin “Duck” Hodges.

The “4X4XU” singer knew she had to give the young fan the moment he deserved. So, she walked offstage and into the crowd to get him.

In videos shared online, the little boy is seen wearing a fake mustache, a camo hat, blue jeans with a silver belt buckle, and a black long-sleeve shirt with the word “DUCK” across the front.

With his hand in hers, Wilson sang her song “Yesterday, All Day, Every Day,” which is actually a love song about her fiancé.

The fan stood there smiling, probably a little nervous since he was in front of thousands of people (and holding hands with the Lainey Wilson).

As she sang, Wilson tried to help him relax by dancing with him for a bit. She then guided him back to his spot in the crowd.

This isn’t the first time that a fan has caught Lainey Wilson’s attention by wearing a costume.

Back in October, Wilson paused in the middle of her show after the crowd started shouting for her to look at something.

When she finally saw it, she realized fans were pointing at someone dressed as Duck… but not in the usual way. Instead of the “human” version of him, the fan was wearing a full, lifelike green duck mask.

Wilson and Hodges got engaged in February after the former NFL player proposed on the front porch of George Jones’ former Tennessee estate.

Since then, the couple has stayed pretty quiet about their wedding plans. But the truth is, they haven’t gotten much figured out just yet. Wilson has said before that planning a wedding has been tough with their busy schedules.

Still, she has shared at least one small update. While hosting this year’s CMA Awards, she confirmed that their wedding will happen sometime next year.
