For many people, taking off and landing can be the most nerve-racking part of flying on a plane. If there’s one way to make getting on a plane a more enjoyable experience, one airline employee has figured it out!
In a fun and playful video shared on YouTube by Rumble Viral, it shows an air traffic control man playing a quick game of rock, paper, scissors with a kid sitting on a plane waiting for it to take off.
According to The Genius Of Play, “Players start each round by saying, ‘rock, paper, scissors, shoot!’ On ‘shoot,’ each player holds out their fist for rock, flat hand for paper, or their index and middle finger for scissors. Rock crushes scissors, scissors cut paper, and paper covers rock. See who wins each round!”
The kid was sitting at the window seat as the air traffic control man stood on the tarmac about 100 feet away from the plane. At first, the man gestures his arms and hands to get the attention of the kid.
Once he has his attention, through his gesturing, he gets the boy to understand that he wants to play a friendly game of rock, paper, scissors with him. Smiling, the boy holds up his fist showing the man that he is ready to play and they begin to do a countdown to reveal their hands.
The two go back and forth playing “best two out of three” and to the child’s enjoyment, he wins. The man dramatically and jokingly pouts and stomps around as the kid defeats him to make him laugh. Take a look at the hilarious footage below.
