Yellowstone Star Kevin Costner Settles Divorce From Ex-Wife Christine After 18 Years Of Marriage
On May 1, Kevin Costner‘s wife Christine Baumgartner filed for divorce. Since then, the former couple has been involved in a series of legal battles, mainly over child support.
Kevin and Christine share three children: Cayden (age 16), Hayes (age 15), and Grace (age 13).
Christine originally requested for Kevin to pay $248K per month in child support. Judge Thomas Anderle made a tentative ruling regarding the payments on July 11. He ordered Kevin to pay Christine $129,755 per month in child support at that time.
According to PEOPLE, Christine then filed a request to receive $175,057 per month instead, eventually dropping that figure to $161,592 per month.
Kevin told the court on September 1, “My biggest concern is that the court orders me to pay child support that is above the needs of my children and for the needs of Christine.”
The judge ruled in Kevin’s favor. That day, he was ordered to pay Christine $63,209 per month in child support, which PEOPLE reports was the figure he proposed at the start of the divorce.

After 4 Months, Kevin Costner’s Divorce Battle Is Over
After their back-and-forth battle, Kevin and Christine have settled their divorce. PEOPLE quotes a statement from one of Kevin’s reps:
“Kevin and Christine Costner have come to an amicable and mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings,” the rep said.
TMZ was the first to report on the news. The outlet claims that “Christine saw the handwriting on the wall and agreed over the weekend to the terms of a 3-page settlement letter.”
Christine previously testified in court that she may go back to school to get a degree to help her in the workforce.
As for Costner? Although he’s no longer involved with Yellowstone, he still has a lot of obligations on his plate. He’s also prioritizing his relationship with his kids:
“I need to figure out how I’m going to spend more time with the children, walk them through this process,” he said.
Kevin broke his silence on the divorce in an interview with Access Hollywood a few weeks ago, which you can watch below.
