Kelsea Ballerini has a simple message for anyone trying to spread rumors about her recent breakup with Chase Stokes.
Less than two weeks ago, it was confirmed that Kelsea Ballerini and her boyfriend, Outer Banks actor Chase Stokes, had broken up.
The two had been together for nearly three years, starting their relationship in December 2022. By April 2023, they made their debut as a couple on the red carpet at the CMT Awards.
Many fans were caught off guard by the pair going their separate ways, especially since just days earlier, Stokes had shared a sweet birthday tribute for Ballerini’s 32nd birthday.
“although you keep saying you’re not excited for 32, I’d say I’m lookin forward to more of this. happy birthday my love,” he captioned the series of photos.

Since news of their split began making the rounds, neither Ballerini nor Stokes had publicly commented on it. But in a TikTok video posted on Tuesday, September 23, Ballerini finally broke her silence.
The video was specifically aimed at those who have been fueling the rumors about her personal life.
In the clip, Ariana Grande’s 2022 song “Shut Up” plays in the background while Ballerini sways to the music. She takes a sip of a Celsius and then points at the camera as the lyric “shut up” plays.

The caption is referring to a series of photos of Ballerini that went viral over the weekend. In them, she is seen leaving a hair salon in Nashville.
It was the first public sighting of the “I Hate Love Songs” singer since her breakup. Unfortunately, they were taken by someone without her knowledge.
PEOPLE originally reported that a source close to Ballerini and Stokes said they are “two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn’t. It happens.”
