Kelly Clarkson’s kids have inherited her love of the spotlight, as seen in a video shared by a concertgoer who captured a sweet moment the singer shared with her son.
The moment was filmed during Kelly Clarkson’s Las Vegas residency, Chemistry: An Intimate Night With Kelly Clarkson, in 2023. Clarkson’s son, Remington “Remy” Alexander, who was 7 years old at the time, was invited on stage by his mom, who told the crowd that they dance all the time at home and often bring out a disco ball for their dance parties.
Remy confidently took his place on the stage alongside his mom and told the crowd that he had chosen to dance to his mom’s hit, “Whole Lotta Woman.”
As soon as the music started, Remy started dancing, clearly unfazed by the massive crowd who was cheering him on.
Remy, who is the second child and only son of Clarkson and her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, was back in the spotlight recently.
This time, Remy wasn’t getting attention for his dance moves but for his singing voice. In late 2024, Clarkson’s kids joined her on the set of her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. Remy told his mom that he wanted to sing, asking her, “Who do I have to talk to to sing my song?”
Kelly said that Remy walked to the bandstand and, without hesitation, told them what he wanted to sing. With the help of the show’s band, Remy entertained the pre-show crowd with an impressive rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”
Kelly shared a clip of the performance in late November and it almost immediately went viral. In early January, the show shared the full clip, and as of press time, it has been seen over 5 million times on Facebook alone.

Following Remy’s performance, he and his big sister, 10-year-old River, sat down to chat with their mom. When asked if he was nervous while singing, Remy told her, “I mean … 50/50?”
Remy showed no signs of nervousness during his performance as he confidently sang the classic hit. It’s clear that both Remy and River will likely follow in the footsteps of their famous and talented parents.
