“Kelly Clarkson Show” Staffers Test Positive For COVID-19

Multiple people who work on The Kelly Clarkson Show have tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report from PEOPLE.

The talk show, hosted by Kelly Clarkson, is one of the many shows that is back to being semi-normal this fall. While she does hav a select few in-person guests who stay a great distance from her, she is joined by a majority of her guests via video chat. Her entire audience is virtual as well.

The singer and her staff members are regularly tested and have many different safety protocols they follow, but on Friday (Nov. 13), multiple members of her staff received positive results. They were immediately re-tested and contact tracing had been started.

Clarkson’s show last filmed on Thursday (Nov. 12) and is scheduled to resume filming Monday (Nov. 16) depending on what the results are.

If the staffers tested positive again, it would be for everyone’s safety to shut down in-person production. While it would be a shame to do so, the show has proven that they can operate successfully in a complete remote setting, as it did in the spring and over the summer.

Praying for a speedy recovery!
